“Among the many fantastic recording engineers and artistic supervisors (I had the
pleasure to work with Deutsche Grammophon, DECCA Classics, NAXOS, SONY
Classical, Teldec, BMG etc.), Fernando Arias has always remained one of my
personal preferences. Ten years ago we started to record together and until today
we completed no less than ten recordings. Only to name a few of them: Ermanno
Wolf-Ferrari complete orchestral works, sacred music, a cappella choirs, the opera
"Il segreto di Susanna”, Verdi ś Otello and other. The recording of the Ermanno
Wolf-Ferrari violin concerto with soloist Benjamin Schmid was awarded in 2013 with
the “Preis der Deutschen Schallplattenkritik”. In fact Fernando Arias has
"conductors ears“, a perfect feeling of different styles and musical forms. I am
always looking forward for upcoming projects together!"
Friedrich Haider - conductor
"Fernando Arias is an excellent and a reliable sound engineer. Within numerous
collaborations he has demonstrated his extraordinary musicality - he is also a highly
gifted timpanist and drummer - and his great technical understanding. The
cooperation with him has given me always a big pleasure,
mostly because of his nice, quiet and humorous nature. I can recommend him in
Joachim Krist - musical supervisor/producer
“I had the pleasure to meet Fernando Arias seven years ago. Having watched
closely his work in recording and video projects, I need to say that the quality of
them are of the highest level. Fernando Arias has a great taste and sense of sound,
especially in bringing out the best original sound qualities of each instrument.”
